Biography
Megan is an attorney in the Real Estate practice and a member of the Retail industry team.
Experienced in retail and commercial real estate transactions, Megan delivers customized, practical solutions to a diverse clientele, including landlords, tenants, retailers, property owners, managers, franchisors, franchisees, developers, and investors. Her practice spans the acquisition, development, redevelopment, leasing, financing, restructuring, and sale of shopping centers, malls, mixed-use projects, and other retail properties. Passionate about empowering her clients, she skillfully navigates the legal and business complexities of these projects, helping them expand their national presence with confidence.
Megan also has experience representing financial institutions and investment banks in their roles as issuers, underwriters, and mortgage loan sellers in public and private offerings of commercial mortgage-backed securities and other structured finance products. She has represented developers and mortgage lenders in a wide range of commercial real estate financings, including bridge loan financing, tax credit financing, healthcare facilities transactions, multifamily portfolios, affordable housing transactions, Fannie Mae MBS as tax-exempt bond collateral financing, Freddie Mac transactions, tax increment financing, mezzanine debt, and HUD financing products. Megan has also advised many clients on the corporate structuring of entities and the transfer of partnership, corporate, and limited liability company interests in relation to real estate transactions.
Additionally, Megan has experience working with Department of Housing and Urban Development financing and other affordable housing products. She also advises her clients on the corporate structuring of entities and the transfer of partnership, corporate, and limited liability company interests in relation to real estate transactions.
While earning her Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School, Megan served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Christopher B. Kehoe in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.
