Biography

Anisa is a partner and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, a member of the Commercial Lending practice, and co-chair of the Financial Institutions industry team. She represents lenders and borrowers in connection with complex debt financings, loan workouts, and Uniform Commercial Code issues.

With a reputation for understanding important business issues, Anisa handles a variety of syndicated and single lender senior credit facilities, including secured and unsecured loans, asset-based and cash flow loans, and local and multi-state real estate loans. Lenders rely on Anisa’s efficiency and, in particular, her expertise in secured transaction and collateral matters under the Uniform Commercial Code.

Experience

  • Representation of an agent bank in connection with a $70 million syndicated credit facility to a wholesale gas and oil distributor in South Carolina.

  • Representation of an agent bank in connection with $500 million syndicated credit facility to an NFL franchise.

  • Representation of a skilled nursing facility operator based in Georgia in connection with a $145 million revolving asset-based credit facility.

  • Representation of a lender on a $20 million senior secured debt facility to a private equity firm in order to facilitate its leveraged buyout of a Florida-based manufacturer of luxury offshore fishing boats.

  • Representation of a lender in connection with the refinancing of a $24.5 million multi-credit facility to a convenience store operator.

  • Representation of a lender in connection with a $45 million revolving asset-based credit facility to a steel manufacturer in Illinois, where the proceeds were used to fund an ESOP sale transaction.

  • Representation of a lender in connection with an $18 million multi-credit facility to a fast casual restaurant based in Alabama.

  • Representation of a lender on a $32 million revolving asset-based credit facility to a manufacturer of kayaks, canoes, and related accessories.

  • Representation of a skilled nursing facility operator based in Kentucky in connection with a $60 million revolving asset-based credit facility.

  • Representation of an online sales brokerage company on a $65 million senior secured term loan facility from a private direct lender.
