Jeff Jacobovitz Quoted in Axios Article Titled "DOJ Backs Bills That Could Kneecap Big Tech"
Jeff Jacobovitz, chair of AGG’s Antitrust & Competition group, was quoted in an Axios article titled “DOJ Backs Bills That Could Kneecap Big Tech” on March 29, 2022.
The Department of Justice endorsed House and Senate bills on March 28, 2022, that would keep large digital platforms, such as Meta, Google, Apple, and Amazon, from giving preferential treatment to their own products. Support from the Biden Administration’s DOJ indicates that the department thinks they can be enforced and bolster tech competition in the U.S.
“The fact that the DOJ’s regulatory goals are consistent with the Hill show the seriousness of the DOJ’s antitrust concerns in the technology sector,” said Jeff.
