Arnall Golden Gregory Elects Sean Fogarty as New Managing Partner Effective 2024

Atlanta, December 4, 2023 – Arnall Golden Gregory LLP (AGG) is pleased to announce the election of Sean P. Fogarty as its new managing partner beginning January 1, 2024. Sean is an AGG-lifer, having spent nearly 20 years practicing with the firm, including several years serving in leadership roles.

Sean currently serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and as the firm’s financial partner, and he previously co-chaired the Corporate & Finance practice. He focuses his practice on providing practical legal advice to his clients across the spectrum of the business community, prioritizing relationships and investment in understanding the nuances of their businesses. He intends to take the same approach to leading AGG as its managing partner.

Sean succeeds Jonathan E. Eady, who served as AGG’s managing partner for two consecutive four-year terms and has worked with Sean throughout this year to ensure a smooth transition. Jonathan will continue in a leadership role as the firm’s chairman, succeeding Glenn P. Hendrix.

Under Jonathan’s leadership, the firm increased its revenue by more than 50%, increased attorney headcount to more than 200 attorneys (nearly 20%), and expanded and relocated in Washington, D.C., nearly doubling the number of attorneys in that office. AGG has also risen 12 spots in the Am Law 200, promoted the largest partner class in the firm’s history in 2023, and increased the number of practices and attorneys ranked in Chambers and Partners, respectively. Jonathan spearheaded the development of the firm’s strategic plan and set the expectation for all personnel to exhibit the firm’s core values in everything we do. Jonathan has helped shape key firm initiatives, including recruiting and retention, diversity, equity and inclusion, industry team and attorney go-to-market strategies, and attorney professional development. Jonathan has also been instrumental in building robust administrative functions by adding talent, systems, and protocols that have elevated the services its business professionals bring to the firm.
