AGG Represents RPC in Acquisition of Pintail Completions, Expanding Services in Permian Basin

Atlanta, April 2, 2025 – Arnall Golden Gregory LLP (AGG) represented RPC, Inc., a provider of specialized oilfield services and equipment, in a $245 million acquisition of Pintail Alternative Energy, L.L.C., a wireline market leader in the Permian Basin doing business under the name “Pintail Completions.”

The acquisition builds on RPC’s diversified oilfield services platform with geographic concentration in the Permian Basin, the most active oil producing region in the U.S. land market.

“The acquisition of Pintail is a significant step forward in RPC’s strategic evolution as a diversified oilfield services provider,” said RPC President and CEO Ben Palmer.

AGG advised RPC on all aspects of the M&A process, including securities work and the Hart Scott Rodino analysis and filing. This transaction marks yet another successful milestone in RPC’s acquisition history.
