AGG Featured in Law360 Article on Federal Government’s Involvement in MultiPlan Pricing MDL

Law360 recently published an article titled “Feds Allowed to Weigh in on MultiPlan Pricing MDL,” discussing updates on the multidistrict antitrust litigation targeting MultiPlan.

The federal government will be allowed to appear in the MDL against MultiPlan and several major insurers, supporting claims that their shared use of MultiPlan’s pricing algorithms may constitute illegal concerted action under the Sherman Act. The plaintiffs allege that insurers used MultiPlan’s tools to underpay out-of-network healthcare providers by billions.
