AGG Affordable Housing co-chair Orlando Cabrera spoke at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) Housing Choice Vouchers Program 50^th Anniversary on October 16, 2024, in Washington, D.C.

Orlando, former assistant secretary at HUD, participated on the panel, “Insights From Former Public and Indian Housing Assistant Secretaries.”

The event brought together researchers, former HUD officials, housing practitioners, and program participants to reflect on the program’s impact over the past five decades, hear about the latest research on program effectiveness, and learn about real-life experiences of voucher holders.
