Four AGG Partners Speaking at 2022 PBSA Annual Conference

AGG Background Screening partners Leah Braukman, Henry Chalmers, Kevin Coy, and Montserrat Miller are speaking at the Professional Background Screening Association (“PBSA”) 2022 Annual Conference.

On September 11 from 2-2:45 p.m., Leah will present, “Smooth Selling: Practical Legal Considerations in Selling Your Business.” Selling a business can be a large undertaking, however, there are steps you can take to optimize your future success. This program will highlight those steps, what to expect from the process, timing considerations, and the crucial role advisers will play, all to help ensure a smoother and more rewarding sale.

On September 12 from 2-2:45 p.m., Kevin will present, “GDPR and UK GDPR Developments for Background Screening.” This session will explore transborder data flow developments potentially impacting background screening, including the recently announced “agreement in principle” for a successor to the Privacy Shield program, standard contractual clauses, and litigation and enforcement developments. Additionally, Kevin will discuss UK developments, including the UK-approved addendum for use with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

On September 12 from 3-3:45 p.m., Leah, Henry, and Montserrat will present, “Mastering the End User Agreement,” which will include a look at the provisions of a typical end user agreement and the key considerations to keep in mind when drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating them. This includes from an FCRA, corporate, and litigation perspective.

The full conference will be held from September 11-13, 2022, at the Gaylord Rockies Resort in Denver, Colorado. “GDPR and UK GDPR Developments for Background Screening” and “Mastering the End User Agreement” will also be available as virtual presentations from September 14-15, 2022.
