AGG Healthcare of counsel Alan C. Horowitz will present at the Post-Acute and Long-Term Medical Association (“PALTmed”) Conference in Charlotte, NC, from March 12-15, 2025, alongside Dr. Karl Steinberg, MD, CMD, HMDC, HEC-C, and Dr. Peter L. Jaggard, MD, CMD, FACP, MA.

Their session, “An Update on Medical Aid in Dying: Medical, Legal, and Ethical Issues,” will take place on March 15, 2025. During this presentation, they will discuss the evolving landscape of Medical Aid in Dying (MAID), including the legal requirements in states where MAID is permitted, and the medical, legal, and ethical challenges surrounding patient requests for MAID. The session will also cover recent legal changes and offer perspectives from both sides of the issue.
