Our Mission
Providing legal services of the highest quality requires the greatest possible breadth of background, perspective, orientation, and experience. Building on the progressive and pioneering values that led to our founding, AGG is committed to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion that embraces the differences and similarities among all people.
We seek to fulfill our diversity mission by:

Overview
AGG is dedicated to harnessing the power of our diverse backgrounds and perspectives to lift up the voices of all employees of the firm and best serve our clients’ varied needs. We reflect this commitment by creating an environment that provides access to equitable and inclusive initiatives for all AGG attorneys and staff to bring their best, most-authentic selves to work.
Training, Events, and Involvement
AGG offers a rich array of both internal and external DEI events each year. AGG’s DEI Committee offers in-house training with a particular focus on current events, education on gender- and race-based issues, and topics that aim to eliminate implicit bias. In addition, our numerous affinity groups host various networking events to facilitate connection among law students, colleagues, and clients.
Recent events include:
- 2024 summer associate tour of the National Center for Civil & Human Rights.
- 2024 Pride Month celebration featuring guest speaker Steve Hightower from Lost-n-Found Youth.
- 2024 Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration featuring guest speaker Sachi Nakato-Takahara, owner of Nakato Restaurant in Atlanta.
- Sponsorship of 2024 Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association Gala.
- Partnered with the Commercial Real Estate Women of Atlanta’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee to host a book club in celebration of 2024 History Month.
- Marching in Atlanta’s annual Pride Parade.
The firm regularly meets with law school affinity groups, such as Emory University School of Law’s Black Law Student Association, Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, Chinese American Law Students Association, Latin American Law Students Association, and OUTLaw, as well as Georgia State University School of Law’s Black Law Students Association, Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, Latinx and Carribean Law Students Association, and OUTLaw.
