Meghan R. Gordon

Meghan is an associate in the Real Estate group. Her practice spans various work in commercial property transactions, including the development, acquisition, disposition, and leasing of healthcare, office, retail, and industrial assets and related environmental issues. She is experienced in joint venture and development agreements, and the transactional aspects of large-scale affordable housing projects involving government-held debt and subsidies from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) and USDA Rural Development. Her clients include business owners, developers, landlords, tenants, and other commercial real estate stakeholders.

Meghan enjoys problem-solving and finding creative solutions for complex diligence and development challenges. She works alongside her clients navigating the nuances of the real estate industry to achieve successful outcomes. Clients rely on her to analyze and develop pragmatic responses to transactional and development-related real estate matters.

In recognition of emerging laws, Meghan stays versed in the legal landscape for environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) compliance matters, advising clients on its implications for their assets. As ESG compliance becomes increasingly important to companies and their investors, she assists clients in developing additional disclosures and leasehold remedies and understanding the evolving role of reporting requirements in this space.

In addition to her firm service on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Women’s Initiative committees, Meghan is an adjunct professor of real estate transactions at Georgia State University College of Law and provides pro bono legal counsel through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer Foundation and the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
