On GlobalAtlanta.com, Hyun-Zu “Yonni” Kim is quoted in a May 20th article, “Korean-American Groups Honored Portman at High Exhibit.” The article describes a farewell reception for the exhibition, “John Portman: Art and Architecture,” which was organized by the Korean-Southeast U.S. Chamber of Commerce at the High Museum of Art. The exhibition featured paintings, sculpture, furniture and architecture designed by Mr. Portman. More than 200,000 people visited the exhibition during its six-month run at the museum. One of the crowning pieces of the exhibition was a model of Incheon Tower, a 151-story twin tower that is supposed to represent Korea’s future. Ms. Kim says that the state-of-the-art towers “will become a role model for other cities in the future.” She goes on to say that Korea is one of the world leaders in technology development, having provided smart-phone technology and broadband for decades.
