What is the entry level associate salary for 2008? Currently, our starting salary is $130,000.
What is AGG's partnership track? Historically, AGG had an 8½ year partnership track. In 2000, we adopted a more flexible plan that will allow associates who fulfill the requirements for partnership at an accelerated rate to become a partner in a shorter time period.
What is AGG's bonus structure? Discretionary bonuses are awarded in recognition of exceptional work performance, client services, business development or pro bono activities.
How should I apply if I am at a school where AGG does not interview on campus? We prefer you e-mail your cover letter, resume and transcript to recruiting@agg.com. After I submit a resume, how long should I expect to wait to hear from AGG? For lateral resumes, our usual response time is approximately 2-3 weeks. For summer associate candidates, our usual response time is 1-2 weeks. Please don't call to check on the status of a resume. We will contact you if we would like to schedule an interview.
Does AGG consider first year law students for its summer program? Yes. Please send resumes after December 1. If you are going to be in Atlanta over the winter holidays, please indicate the dates in your cover letter.
If I am not accepted for AGG's summer program as a first year, should I reapply in my second year? Yes! Spaces for first years (1L's) are so limited that many times we have to turn away candidates that we would like to have in our program as second years.
What is AGG's maternity leave policy for attorneys? Attorneys are permitted to take up to three months as paid leave and up to three additional months as unpaid leave without it affecting the attorney's partnership track.
Does AGG allow attorneys to work modified hours? Employment arrangements that allow a reduced time commitment are considered on an individual basis. The firm currently has 4 partners, 1 Of Counsel and 3 associates who work modified hours.
